Goodbye, Chiang Mai

Here is (part of) Chiang Mai from a lookout point on Doi Sutep Mountain (second bike ride up, Aug 18). On a clear day you can see the entire city from the top of this mountain, as well as the mountains on the other side of Chiang Mai. It’s beautiful. Well, I’m back in California! I made it safely home after a long journey on Thursday, Aug 21. Now it’s on to itineration, big time! The sun was bright and the clouds billowing and tall as I left Chiang Mai. Do you see the river on the right hand side, just above the wing tip? And do you see the fields? They are ripe for harvest…
